Day 1 of the 7 Days Rwanda Gorillas, Uganda Wildlife & Chimps Safari: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
In the morning you will be picked from the hotel by the guide/driver, who will take you for a city tour. You will visit the genocide memorial museum, the first house, the national museum among others. After lunch in Kigali, you will drive to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla view Lodge (Luxury)/La Palme Hotel (Deluxe)/Kinigi guest house (Budget).Meals plan is F/B
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Afternoon transfer to Uganda
Rise up very early in the morning and have your breakfast then afterwards head to the park headquarters with parked lunch for briefing before you embark on the memorable adventure in the forest. You will be back by mid day-2:00pm since this activity takes between 4-6 hours. Return to the hotel for lunch and some refreshments and later set off for Uganda, crossing via Cyanika boarder. Dinner and overnight at Bird nest/ Bunyonyi Resort.Meal plan here is H/B
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park in Uganda
Early morning, you will have your breakfast and set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park by 7:30 am. You will drive slowly via Ruhija reaching Ishasha sector by 11:00 am to have game drives where you may be opportune to see the tree climbing lions. Continue to the park reaching early enough for lunch at Mweya safari Lodge.
After lunch, you will enjoy a boat cruise at 4pm along the Kazinga channel where you will see lots of bird species, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants among others. Embark to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay at Kyambura game lodge (Luxury)/I hamba Lodge (Deluxe)/Kingfisher lodge (Budget).
Day 4: Morning Game Drives and transfer to Kibale National Park
In the morning, you will go for game drives, where you will see games like lions, bush bucks, antelopes, elephants, water hogs among others. Go back to the hotel for a late breakfast, and relax at the pool side as you wait for your lunch. After lunch, set off to Kibale national park, home of over 13 primate species. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge (Luxury)/Mountains of the moon hotel (Deluxe)/Chimps nest lodge (Budget).
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Afternoon Nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary
In the morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest National Park, where you will stay until mid day. You will have lunch at Chimps nest lodge and in the afternoon, go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary, where you will encounter a variety of birds and animals. You later drive back to Fort Portal, and if still early and strong, you may visit the “Amabeere ganyina Mwiru” and the king’s palace.Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.Meals are on F/B.
Day 6: Transfer to Kampala
In the morning after breakfast, you drive back to Kampala, with en route visit to Nakayima tree in Mubende, a historical tree, stop over for photography, reaching Kampala in the evening for dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel (Luxury)/A cassia Lodge (Deluxe)/Landmark view Hotel (Budget).
Day 7: City Tour and Departure
In case your departure flight is in the evening, you will have a morning city tour around Kampala, where you will visit the Namugongo Shrines, where the Uganda martyrs were burnt live for refusing to denounce their Christian faith, the National museum, Bahai temple, Gadafhi Mosque, the local markets, Kasubi tombs among others. In the afternoon, transfer to Entebbe airport for your departure flight.
