Terms & Conditions

BuffaloReservations are accepted after we receive the initial US$500 deposit per person per tour for each adult aged 18 years or older and the full payment for gorilla permits for each tour participant. Reservations are confirmed by letter or email. The remainder of the cost of the tour is due 60 days prior to the departure date. If your reservation is made within 60 days of departure, the entire cost of the tour must be paid at the time of confirmation. Failure to deliver complete payment 60 days prior to departure will be considered notification of cancellation by default and is subject to cancellation charges as stated below.

Changing Tours

Any such changes made less than 60 days prior to departure are subject to AA tours cancellation fees.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received will be subject to the following forfeit of tour cost:

  • 60 days and above US$100
  • 46-60 days 10% of tour cost
  • 31-45 days 20% of tour cost
  • 9-30 days 30% of tour cost
  • 0-8 days 100% of tour cost

Cancellation fees are based on the date your written notification is received at AA tours by email or fax.

Rwanda Gorilla Permit Cancellation Policy
(SEPARATE FROM MAIN TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY)

Gorilla Permits cannot be guaranteed until we receive a deposit of US$ 200 per permit (separate from the main tour deposit) and actually pay for the permits at the ORTPN Offices

Cancellations received
  • More than 90 days before the tracking date 25% cancellation fee
  • 46 to 90 days before the tracking date 50% cancellation fee
  • 9 to 45 days before the tracking date 75% cancellation fee
Claims and Refunds

ElephantExcept for verifiable extenuating circumstances, refunds are not made for any missed tour services. For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 30 days of the termination of the tour. Any adjustment considered will be based on the actual cost of the services involved and not on a per diem basis. Adjustments will not be made for unused sightseeing trips or meals. The AA TOURS will not accept liability for any claims that are not received in writing within 30 days of the termination of a tour.

 

GORILLA TREKKING

An example of a typical trek is shown below:

DAY 1: Arrive KGL, meet and greet by AA tours representative. Briefing and introduction to your driver safari guide, thereafter drive to Ruhengeri upon arrival check in Gorilla Nest lodge.

Your accommodation for the next two nights is the Gorilla Nest Lodge, which offers comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms, hot and cold water and a friendly atmosphere. The dining and bar area is open sided with a fire to welcome you on cool evenings.

All guest rooms and the dining area have views of the volcanoes or overlook the beautiful valley and the hills beyond.

Overnight: GORILLA NEST LODGE. (B, L, D)

DAY 2: Gorilla trek, afternoon visit local population residing on the slopes of the volcanoes

DAY 3: Optional 2nd Gorilla trek or visit golden Monkey, afternoon drive back to Kigali, on arrival check in Hotel Chez Lando

Overnight: HOTEL CHEZ LANDO

DAY 4: Transfer to airport to catch flight back home
